We may be heading into a depression that rivals the 1930s, but nobody knows for sure. What we do know is that a lot of folks are feeling pain, and that the ripple effect will last for years. However, it doesn’t mean that our society is falling off the cliff. It means that we need to pull together and help one another. We don’t have the luxury of saying “I got mine and the hell with everyone else” any more. So if you’re dealt a glancing blow or (thank heaven) able to emerge unscathed, please remember that it’s still way too close for comfort for us all. Generosity equals kindness, especially now. Pay it forward and pass it on.
A close call doesn’t equal catastrophe
