Mentoring Services
- Our adult mentoring services began in 1998
- Parents benefit from the real life insight of compatible Mentors in weekly, ongoing telephone dialogues. They only know one another by first name.
- Our confidential dialogues prevent permanent damage to parents, children, and families
Parental Mentoring Initiative
Parents of youth ages 11-17 who either have committed a nonviolent, 1st time juvenile offense, or are at risk of doing so
Motherhood Mentoring Initiative
Expectant mothers and parents of children ages 0-8

Who are our mentors?
More than 100 Mentors have volunteered through their community organization, church, or by self-enrollment. Affiliated organizations include (but aren’t limited to): Hillsborough County Schools, Hillsborough County Health Department, Gracepoint, Positive Spin, ReachUp, Champions for Children, Sylvia Thomas Center, 2-1-1 Hillsborough, Tampa Central City YMCA, Childs Park YMCA of St. Pete, Clearwater Neighborhood Housing Services, University Area CDC, MLK Center of Clearwater, Pastors On Patrol (108 churches), Meet The Need, Bethesda Ministries, Beulah Baptist Church, and College Hill Church of God in Christ.

Our agency honors the Parent, Sister/Brother, Son/Daughter, and Family Volunteer of the Year. Video nominations from across America describe the good things that people do to strengthen families, individuals, and our nation.
