Family Referral Network

mentoring turned parental challenges into solutions

  • Our adult mentoring services began in 1998 and are the first of their kind
  • These address life challenges before they get out of hand
  • The Parental Mentoring Initiative is for parents of at-risk youth ages 11-17
  • The Motherhood Mentoring Initiative is for parents of children ages 0-8
  • More than two decades of positive outcomes verify their effectiveness
  • Parents gained from the real life insight of compatible Mentors in weekly, ongoing telephone dialogues. They only knew one another by first name
  • Our confidential dialogues kept circumstantial dilemmas from worsening into a crisis that would seriously damage parents, children, and families
  • Hundreds of Mentors volunteered to share their wisdom. As many as 108 were enrolled at a time
  • Unfortunately, insufficient resources have prompted a temporary hiatus

OUR ADULT MENTORING SERVICES HELPED PARENTS SOLVE LIFE’S CHALLENGES BEFORE THEY BECOME A CRISIS
